Reagan Imhoff will steal your heart during the MDA Telethon

It's a big weekend for Reagan Imhoff. That's because she's one of the stars of the MDA Telethon.

Reagan was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy just two weeks after her first birthday.

"On the way home we're like, we're not even gonna look what this SMA thing is. And we both privately went and looked and we're crushed when we're reading, you know um, you look at the statistics that 50 percent of children will pass away before 2. It's just devastating and you see it's a degenerative disease," said Reagan's mother, Jenny.

But ever since that diagnosis, Reagan's parents decided to make each day a celebration of life.

Reagan's room has gone from a baby room to a room fit for a princess. It's full of life-saving equipment on the shelves. But there's no shortage of books and fairies and pink things.

Reagan enjoys her room. But one of her favorite things of all can be found in the kitchen. She loves to bake. But for that one, she gives her mom all the credit. "Mommy's the real baker. She makes the best cookies," said Reagan.
