Snowfall creates rush of business at repair shops

MILWAUKEE -- The first snowfall of 2012 created a significant spike in business for shops that repair snowblowers or cars.

Mike Gielow from Gielow Lawn and Garden Equipment said the service calls have been steady.

"We've had a lot of phone calls this morning, people that said hey I'm at work, I have the snowblower in my car,  I'm going to slip out of work a little bit early and come over and drop it off," said Gielow.
At Andrew Chevrolet, 100 cars were waiting to be fixed on Friday. The service team there was dealing with fender benders, tire changing and more.
"Everyone says that the snow business feads their family and it really is, now we're jumping, lots of things are happening and we're hoping it keeps going, and hope we get more snow in the forecast," said Brian Davis of Andrew Chevrolet.
