GAB asks for more time to process and review recall petitions

MADISON -- The Wisconsin Department of Justice is asking Dane County Judge Richard Niess to give the Government Accountability Board (GAB) more time to review Scott Walker recall petitions.

The GAB asked for at least 60 or more days to complete its official review. The GAB hopes it can finish scanning recall petitions for both Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch by next week.

Once the GAB finishes scanning the petitions it must then verify the signatures for "correctness and completeness" before they are made available to the public.
