Contact 6 helps frustrated bride retrieve wedding photos

MILWAUKEE -- Faded memories of wedded bliss forced one bridge to write to FOX6's Contact 6, and Katrina Cravy to track down a wedding photographer who went MIA after one bride's big day.

Some of the pictures are priceless - capturing once-in-a-lifetime moments, but many miss the mark. Katrina Sturtzen sat down with Contact 6 to look at photos that cost her more than $2,000 and were supposed to be delivered three months after she said "I do."

"It's been over a year and a half, so two years in June!" Sturtzen said.

Unable to make contact with the photographer and desperate for her photos, Sturtzen complained to a friend, who recommended she get in touch with Contact 6.

After reading Sturtzen's frustrated email, Contact 6 sent the owner an email. The reply said the photos were delivered, the owner has apologized, and the business is now permanently closed.

While Sturtzen never got that leather-bound album and photo package she paid for, she's just happy to have the pictures and will simply make a memory-montage of her own. "I'm so glad that somebody was able to get ahold of her and do something about it," Sturtzen said.

Contact 6 recommends always checking the BBB's website before deciding on a photographer. Also, never pay more than half the total cost upfront, and get the promised delivery dates in writing. These three simple tips can help make your happily ever after start as soon as possible!
