Officers, supervisor investigated for possible policy violations

MILWAUKEE -- Seven Milwaukee police officers and one supervisor have been temporarily reassigned to administrative duties. This is pending the outcome of a department-initiated internal investigation related to possible policy violations.

Officials with the Milwaukee Police Department say there will be no further comment on the matter while it is pending.

The Fire and Police Commission is monitoring the investigation. But none of the commissioners would comment on the case because it is an open investigation.

One source tells FOX6 News, the officers involved in this case are part of the District 5 police station. A published report says it may be related to strip searches and other inappropriate conduct.

The matter could eventually be referred to the district attorney's office.
