Multiple-alarm fire damages two-story building in Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC — Officials and fire crews were on the scene of a multiple-alarm fire in downtown Fond du Lac early Tuesday morning, April 3rd.

Authorities say the fire broke out in a two-story building around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday on Main Street in Fond du Lac. Officials say the two-story building has a store on the lower level and an apartment upstairs.

Authorities say one person was hurt in the fire. The victim suffered burns and smoke inhalation.

Several fire departments remained on the scene into late Tuesday morning, working to get the fire under control. Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
