Education board votes down claim against Homestead H.S.

MEQUON -- The Mequon-Thiensville Board of Education voted down a claim against Homestead High School, stemming from an incident last year.

Two students allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl at the school, after hours. Brent Anderson and Deangelo Dantzler pleaded not guilty to sexual assault charges.

The claim stated Homestead High School should have been better secured and supervised.

Thursday's move by the school board means any potential lawsuit must now be brought within six months.
