Man struck in head by chunk of concrete while driving
DANE COUNTY — 50-year-old Kevin Droz of Fall River was driving north on Interstate 39 when a softball-size chunk of concrete smashed through his windshield!
Even though he was hit in the head, Droz was able to drive himself to a hospital. He was then airlifted to the UW Hospital in serious condition.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the concrete did not fall from a bridge.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
