Delta Airlines growing service at Mitchell Airport by 20 percent

MILWAUKEE -- Frontier Airlines may be slashing service at Mitchell International Airport, but another carrier is picking up the pace. Delta Airlines is expanding service out of Milwaukee.

By this summer, Delta Airlines' service at Mitchell International Airport will grow by nearly 20 percent.

Travelers to New York will benefit most.Delta is adding four daily non-stop flights to La Guardia and one daily trip to JFK. This will make Delta the only carrier offering service between Mitchell International and the Kennedy Airport.

Delta's expansion plans aren't limited to New York. It is also adding a daily flight between Milwaukee an Detroit, and is increasing seats on its Milwaukee/Atlanta route.
