Officials conducting water search near Carol Beach in Pleasant Prairie
Kenosha water search
PLEASANT PRAIRIE — Kenosha County Sheriff’s officials confirmed Sunday evening, April 22nd a water search is being conducted in the water off-shore near Carol Beach in Pleasant Prairie.
Kenosha County Coast Guard officials say a woman called to report she had seen a small vessel that was adrift but unmanned. The Coast Guard launched a 41-foot search and rescue boat from the Kenosha station to assist in the search.
As of 8:15 Sunday evening officials reported they hadn’t found anything. The search vessel remains on the scene and is equipped with both a large spotlight and night-vision goggles, so they have the ability to search into the night.
The Kenosha County Dive Team along with the Coast Guard and Pleasant Prairie Fire Department officials responded around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
