Police investigate three separate shootings in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating three separate shooting that have occurred in less than 24 hours in Milwaukee.

The first shooting occurred around 6:10 Tuesday evening, April 24th near 5th and Orchard.

Neighbors said they heard about seven shots fired and at least three hit one victim - a 21-year-old man. Neighbors said they later saw a person running down the street, injured. The 21-year-old man died later at a hospital.

Neighbors said this is not an area where they’re used to hearing gunshots and seeing evidence markers.

It is unclear at this time if anyone is in custody in connection with this crime.

Milwaukee police say their investigation is ongoing.

The second shooting occurred just before 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 near 24th and Capitol. Milwaukee police say an 18-year-old woman was shot during what appeared to be a robbery. The victim is expected to be okay.

Around midnight, a 21-year-old man was shot near 27th and Wisconsin. Police say the victim is not cooperating with police. So far, there is no word on a motive. The 21-year-old victim is expected to recover.
