Teen brothers hurt in rollover crash in Town of Erin

WASHINGTON CO. -- Two teenage brothers were hurt in a rollover crash while on their way to Hartford Union High School in the Town of Erin early Wednesday, April 25th.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. just south of Donegal Rd. and County Highway K.

Responding deputies found the car partially crushed and one of the teens trapped within the car. Firefighters from Richfield used the Jaws of Life to remove the passenger from the wreck. He was flown by Flight for Life to Froedert Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was taken to Community Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicates the driver had been northbound on County Highway K, drove partially off of the east gravel shoulder and re-entered his lane of travel, crossing into the southbound lane, and entered the west ditch and overturned.

The driver indicated he looked down inside the car, taking his eyes off of the road, leading to the car going onto to the shoulder initiating the crash.
