PLATTEVILLE (AP) — Eighteen people are facing possible drug charges in Platteville in connection with an investigation into the sale of marijuana an cocaine in the area.
Platteville police Chief Doug McKinley says 18 people were arrested Wednesday in the city and on the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus. He says he hopes the arrests will send a message that drug dealing and drug use will not be tolerated.
The arrests were carried out by the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force.
All of the suspects range in age from 19 to 23.
