Fire and Police Commission to review MPD officer dismissals

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee’s Fire and Police Commission will review the dismissal and suspensions of five Milwaukee police officers Thursday, May 17th.

Three officers were fired. District Seven Officer Richard Schoen is accused of using excessive force. Sergeant Christopher Gull is accused of displaying sexually explicit photos and making inappropriate comments while on duty. Yoron Whitfield is accused of driving drunk and causing a crash last year.

Two officers are suspended. Lynn Vandenbush and Gina Metz are based out of District Two. They face 30 days without pay for code of conduct violations.
