NEW JERSEY -- Authorities are trying to find the person who put a young child in a washing machine at a laundromat in Camden, New Jersey.

Surveillance video of the incident has gone viral on YouTube. It shows a man putting the boy into the machine and closing the door. It fills up with soap and water before a worker pulls the child to safety.

The child's grandmother told reporters in Philadelphia that at first, she didn't believe it was her grandchild. Doreen Bey says her grandson was with his baby-sitter when it happened -- and she doesn't know the man responsible.

The child suffered only minor injuries -- and is safe.
