Woman extricated after two-vehicle crash in Town of Brillion
TOWN OF BRILLION — Calumet County Sheriff’s officials responded to a two-vehicle accident Friday, May 25th shortly after 7:00 p.m.
Officials say 46-year-old Bonnie Groth of Forest Junction was traveling southbound on State Highway 57 in a 1994 Ford Escort Wagon when she failed to stop at a red light.
50-year-old Charles Van of Appleton was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 10 in a 2006 Dodge Durango and went through a green light, T-boning Groth’s vehicle.
Groth had to be extricated from her vehicle and was taken to the hospital via Flight for Life.
Van was not injured.
Officials say both individuals involved in this crash were wearing their seat belts, and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
