Offense beats defense during fifth annual Donald Driver softball game

GRAND CHUTE -- Much like the 2011-2012 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers offense outshined the defense on Sunday, June 3rd beating them 22-10 in the fifth annual Donald Driver softball game.

The annual event features a home run hitting contest and a game between the offensive and defensive squads of the Green Bay Packers.

A huge crowd packed in to Fox City Stadium to see the host and the "Dancing" champion.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers flew overnight from California, to make sure that he was in attendance.

"If I couldn't be back in time for this, I wouldn't have done the awards show, but I got on a plane at 10 last night, and landed here at 4, got to the house about 4:30 and tried to get some sleep. You see the fan response and being here for Donald is the most important thing," Rodgers said.

"This is where it all starts. It starts here and then continues to go on through the mini camps and through the training camp, so it's always a battle between offense, defense but we've got to come victorious today, because last year we tied, and we don't want to do that again," Donald Driver said.

Driver's partner from "Dancing with the Stars," Peta Murgatroyd, threw out the first pitch at Sunday's game.

Every time Driver came to the plate Sunday, they showed one of his "Dancing" routines on the Jumbotron.

The game raises money for the Donald Driver Foundation.  Driver and his wife Betina started the foundation to help homeless families and improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth in Northeastern Wisconsin and in Driver's hometown of Houston, Texas.
