Gov. Walker, Barrett campaign Monday before election

MADISON (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett made a last push to sway voters before Tuesday's recall election. Both hit the campaign trail with 24 hours to go before voters take to the polls.

Walker started his day Monday, June 4th at a plastics plant in a Madison suburb before campaigning in West Salem, Eau Claire, Stevens Point and Green Bay. He planned to wrap up his day with a rally in Milwaukee.

Barrett spent most of his day in western and northern Wisconsin. His day began with a planned stop at a coffee shop in La Crosse before going to River Falls, Rhinelander and Portage before finishing with a rally at a United Auto Workers union hall in Kenosha.

Polls show a tight race as Walker tries to become the first governor in U.S. history to survive a recall vote.
