Police investigate shooting on city’s north side

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning on the city’s north side.

Officials say a woman was shot just before 3 a.m. on N. Long Island Drive, just south of Silver Spring Road and west of Green Bay Road.

Authorities say the back window of a car was shot out. It is unclear if the victim was inside or outside of the vehicle when they were shot.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
