In advance of Romney visit, Democrats make a stop in Madison

MADISON -- In advance of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's trip to Wisconsin on Monday, Democratic National Committee representatives visited Madison on Sunday, June 17th as part of the "Romney Economics: the Middle Class Under the Bus" tour.

DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse, firefighter and union president (and recent Democratic lieutenant governor recall candidate) Mahlon Mitchell, Racine Mayor John Dickert, Massachusetts State Rep. Kathi-Anne Reinstein and Massachusetts teacher Jen Hollis participated in a press conference meant to "highlight Romney's failed Massachusetts record and vision."

A statement released said the tour would "discuss Romney's real economic record and highlight the broken promises Romney made while running for governor of Massachusetts for more jobs, less debt, and smaller government – the same promises he is making today."

The DNC bus tour is expected to make at least 10 stops across the six states Romney is visiting.
