Ron Wolf: Favre is “greatest player ever” to play for Packers

GREEN BAY — Green Bay Packers fans are feuding over Brett Favre once again, after comments from former Packers general manager Ron Wolf.

In an interview with the Green Bay Press Gazette, Wolf said: “When I got here Don Hutson was the greatest player ever to play for the Green Bay Packers. I think everybody will tell you now, the greatest player ever to play for the Packers is Brett Favre. That’s his legacy.”

In his 16 seasons in Green Bay, Favre set a lot of records. He has the most yards, most touchdowns and most wins as a quarterback and most consecutive games played at any position — not just quarterback.
