MILWAUKEE -- There is a new office tower in the works for downtown Milwaukee -- to be located not far from the lakefront.

Milwaukee development firm Irgens is planning to build an 18-story office tower in downtown Milwaukee. It would go up next to the U.S. Bank Center on Michigan Street between Cass and Lincoln Memorial Drive.

The development, dubbed "833 East" would be anchored by law firm Godfrey & Kahn, which would take the top four floors of the new building.

Mark Irgens says he has an agreement to buy the site from U.S. Bank, and is one large office tenant away from having the lease commitments needed to secure financing.
