Fire marshal investigates suspicious fires in Fredonia
FREDONIA — The State Fire Marshal and Ozaukee Co. Sheriff’s Department are investigating two suspicious fires that occurred early Friday in the Village of Fredonia.
Around 3 a.m., a fire was reported to an attached garage at the corner of Fredonia Ave. and Wisconsin St. A neighbor rescued an 86-year-old woman from the home. Damage to the home was estimated at more than $100,000.
Just before 7 a.m. Friday, a Fredonia Public Works employee discovered fire damage to a concession stand at 200 Wisconsin Ave. The concession stand serves a baseball diamond at the location. The fire burned itself out by the time it was discovered. Damage was minor.
