Gov. Walker plans to tour Superior area flooding

DOUGLAS COUNTY — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker plans to tour the Superior area in Douglas County Tuesday, June 26th after the area was hit with heavy rains and flooding this week.
Gov. Walker is expected to survey the flooding damage, and has already reached out to Superior Mayor, Bruce Hagen.
Gov. Walker said once damage assessments are made, officials will be able to determine what resources will be made available to assist.
“Dealing with flooding is always difficult, and my heart goes out to all of those with damage to their homes.” Gov. Walker said in a statement.
The flooding occurred in the Superior area June 19th and 20th.
