Suspect in Sheboygan shooting held on $100,000 cash bond

SHEBOYGAN -- 27-year-old Ronnie Polk appeared in a Sheboygan County courtroom Monday, June 25th after he was arrested following the shooting of 24-year-old Brandon Davis.

During his court appearance Monday, a judge ordered Polk be held on a $100,000 cash bond.

Sheboygan police announced Tuesday, June 19th Milwaukee police located Polk, whom they had been searching for since the shooting on Saturday, June 16th. 

Davis was shot and killed on S. 9th St. just south of High Ave. in Sheboygan.

Witnesses told FOX6 News Polk is Davis' older brother, and Polk was horsing around with a gun when it went off, hitting Davis in the chest.

Witnesses insist the shooting was an accident. They say Polk would never shoot his own brother.

Police recovered the weapon, a 9 mm Glock, used in the shooting.

Polk is expected back in court on June 28th.
