One dead after head-on collision near State Highway 11

RACINE — Police say one person died Tuesday night, July 3rd after a head-on collision near State Highway 11 and State Highway 83.

The Racine County Sheriff’s Department says the collision occurred just after 9 p.m. Tuesday. Officials say the operator of one of the vehicles was transported to Froedtert Hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

No further details have been releases at this time — including the cause of the accident or the condition of the other driver.

The incident remains under investigating by the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.
