New record high of 103 degrees set at airport Thursday

MILWAUKEE -- Southeast Wisconsin is braving record heat for a second day in a row Thursday, July 5th -- with a third on the horizon.

The record high for July 5th is 96 degrees, set in 1911. FOX6 meteorologists say Milwaukee broke that record, hitting 103 degrees Thursday.

The heat index is expected to be 108 degrees plus Thursday afternoon.

All of southeast Wisconsin is under an excessive heat warning until 10 p.m. Friday.
