GREEN BAY (AP) — A Grand Chute man is found guilty in connection with an April fire at a Planned Parenthood facility.
A federal jury convicted Francis Grady on charges of arson and damage to property on Monday after roughly 30 minutes of deliberation.
During his testimony, Grady said he didn’t mean to burn down the building, but wanted to “release the children.”
He said when he lit the building on fire, he “saw souls coming out of the windows.”
Grady’s attorney says his client didn’t set the fire maliciously.
After his arrest, Grady told investigators he broke the clinic window with a hammer, poured gasoline inside and lit it.
No one was hurt in the April 1st fire.
