K9 unit checking Nedweski Park in Kenosha after body found

KENOSHA -- A K9 unit searched for clues at Kenosha's Nedweski Park Thursday, July 12th. This, after the body of a young woman was found in the brush after a grass fire on Monday, July 9th.

The autopsy on the body of the woman, thought to be in her late teens to early 20s, was completed on Tuesday. Those results are pending -- and police have not identified the victim at this point.

Investigators are scouring the park now to determine if there's any other evidence that could help them understand what happened in this case.

The Kenosha Police Department is asking for anyone who was in the area of Nedweski Park during the morning hours of July 9,2012 and observed any activity to please call Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333 or the City Of Kenosha Police Department Detective Bureau at 262-605-5203 or Detective Josh Hecker at 262-605-5264.
