Police recover body from river near Plankinton and Wells

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police officials say the body of an unidentified black man was pulled from the river near Plankinton and Wells Thursday evening, July 12th.

A police sergeant in District 1 told FOX6 News the body was discovered by a boat crew and it appears the body has been in the water for a few days.

Police officials say the victim is known to police to be homeless, residing in the downtown area.

Police say there is no indication of foul play at this time.
