Two injured after Dane County house explosion

MADISON (AP) -- A house explosion early Monday, July 16th in Madison sent two men to the hospital.

The explosion happened just before 5 a.m.

Fire department spokeswoman Lori Wirth said four people were in the home at the time, including a couple and their two adult sons. The men were taken by ambulance to UW Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available.

Police officers took the parents to the hospital. Wirth says they're okay.

Officials say the blast shook the house off its foundation, but it did not collapse.

An investigation into the cause of the explosion is ongoing. Investigators suspect a natural gas leak may have caused the explosion.
