Skydive Midwest hosts fifth annual “Tandems for Troops” program
RACINE — 30-year-old Shaw Pitman, a Marine corporal wounded in Iraq was among several disabled veterans who enjoyed a free skydive near Racine Saturday, July 21st.
For the past five years, Skydive Midwest has hosted what’s called “Tandems for Troops.” The program not only gives free rides to disabled veterans, but also discounted skydives to any vet and their relatives.
The money raised this weekend will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
The program continued Sunday, July 22nd.
