State health officials: 22 confirmed and possible heat-related deaths
MADISON — State health officials say there have been 22 confirmed and possible heat-related deaths in the state between July 1st and July 20th.
As of July 20th, there have been 10 confirmed heat-related fatalities. There have been two confirmed heat-related fatalities in La Crosse and Barron counties, and one each in Juneau, Richland, Rock, Vernon, Dane and Kewaunee counties.
As for the possible heat-related fatalities, there have been six in Milwaukee County, two in Rock County, and one each in Columbia, Waukesha, Winnebago and Menominee counties.
