Andre Agassi in Milwaukee for charter school ribbon-cutting ceremony

MILWAUKEE -- Tennis great Andre Agassi was in Milwaukee Tuesday, July 24th for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at a new school.

The North Point Lighthouse Charter School on Douglas Avenue will open in August. The school is housed inside a former steel fabrication plant.

The school was made possible because of an investment by the Canyon-Agassi Charter School Facilities Fund, which is trying to create a new way to teach kids across the U.S.

"They say we want to go to Milwaukee and we say we are going to come in and give the capital up front and build this school and do it the right way so you can live sustainably," Agassi said.

This is the second school in the U.S. to open thanks to Agassi's fund. The first was in his hometown of Las Vegas.
