SAUKVILLE — Fire destroyed a barn at a Saukville farm Saturday. Firefighters from nine departments helped bring the fire under control by late morning.

Our partners at Port Washington – Saukville Patch report the homeowner first noticed smoke coming out of hay stacks in the barn. No one was hurt in the fire, including several horses who were out in the fields when it started.

Firefighters from Port Washington, Newburg, Cedarburg, Waubeka, Grafton, Fredonia, Thiensville and Belgium helped the Saukville team douse the fire.

Officials have not identified the cause of the fire.
