Officials release name of man struck by vehicle in West Allis

WEST ALLIS — Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred a block north of 70th and Greenfield in West Allis around 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 31st.

A vehicle traveling north on S. 70th St. struck a pedestrian that was standing in the roadway. That driver remained on the scene — and the pedestrian died of injuries at the scene.

Officials released the name of the victim Wednesday, August 1st. He is 47-year-old Lonnie Dodge of West Allis.

The driver of the car is cooperating with officers in this investigation.

Officials say no arrests have been made, and alcohol consumption by the driver does not appear to be a factor in this case.
