Two killed in murder-suicide incident at Trans-Coil International

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police  say two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide incident occurred in a manufacturing plant on the city's north side. The workplace shooting happened in the 7800 block of N. 86th Street at Trans-Coil International (TCI).

Police say the call came in just after 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 2nd.

Police say a 23-year-old male employee shot his boss -- a 58-year-old man multiple times before turning the gun on himself.

The 58-year-old man was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

President and CEO Steve Copp didn't know specifics of the investigation, including what may have driven an employee to fire a gun inside his business.

"It's obviously a very tragic situation that's occurred here," Copp said.

TCI makes electronics, including those used in filters for industrial work or companies.

Police say their investigation into this incident is ongoing.
