One of those who gathered in Cathedral Square Sunday evening in advance of the candlelight vigil was Milwaukee's Julio Gerrero. He spoke with FOX6 News in advance of the vigil.

"Anytime an act of violence occurs, for someone to take that action is really tragic. (The vigil) is to show solidarity with folks here, and to pay respect for what happened. I don't think we're immune to anything. I don't think it's something we should be known for. It's completely uncalled for," Gerrero said.

FOX6 News has learned two of those who lost their lives were Sikh priests, according to a high-ranking Sikh official.

Gerrero says it's important for the community to pull together following Sunday morning's tragedy.

"Just to show that our differences don't define us, no matter what faith we are. We are all in this together. When something tragic happens, it affects all of us," Gerrero said.

Police are calling Sunday's shooting an "act of domestic terrorism," and the FBI is leading the ongoing investigation. Gerrero says the community needs to come together and brainstorm solutions to these acts of violence.

"It's sad. Things like this shouldn't happen. What we can do is -- let's get educated about what really happened. What were the motives? What can we do to be part of the solution and not contribute to finger pointing?" Gerrero said.

A candlelight vigil is planned for the College Ave. Park and Ride in Oak Creek from 8:30 to 9:30 Sunday night as well.
