Police arrest man in connection with sexual assault

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a July 27th sexual assault at a bus stop on E. Lincoln Ave.

23-year-old Anthony Kodrich of West Allis has been arrested and charged with second-degree sexual assault for grabbing and touching a woman inappropriately while she waited at a bus stop on July 27th.

Police say the female victim reported the incident to authorities after viewing news reports of other sexual assault incidents in South Milwaukee and Bay View.

Kodrick was arrested July 30th on a bus after police recognized him from the July 27th sexual assault bus surveillance video. He was subsequently positively identified by the victim.

Milwaukee police are investigating whether Kodrich is linked to seven other similar assaults in Milwaukee, South Milwaukee and Shorewood.

Police have planned a media briefing for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday to provide more information on this case.
