Move-in day Wednesday for Marquette, Cardinal Stritch freshmen

MILWAUKEE -- Wednesday, August 22nd was move-in day for incoming freshman at Marquette University and Cardinal Stritch University.

Approximately 2,000 freshman moved into the residence halls at Marquette University beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Along with the students were personal items like fridges, microwaves, fans and clothes -- all essential items for getting through the school year.

Some of those FOX6 News spoke with say the move went pretty well -- and they are looking forward to starting the school year.

"I thought it would be a little more crazier than this, to be honest. It's going to go pretty smooth I think. Once we get up to our room and get situated," Marco Blise said.

"Hopefully we get everything in!" Maggie Brtis said.

After getting everything set up and situated, the new students and their parents will take part in the New Student Convocation at the Al McGuire Center Wednesday night.

At Cardinal Stritch University, around 250 students will live on campus for the start of the fall semester.
