One dead, two hurt after shooting on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a deadly triple shooting that occurred on the city's north side Monday night, August 27th.

Police say one man is dead and two women were injured after a triple shooting occurred inside a home near 47th and Garfield around 10:30 p.m.

Authorities say the 40-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and died at the scene.

The two women, a 23-year-old and a 25-year-old, were transported to the hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the wrist, hip and leg.

Police say one of the women was shot in the wrist and hip and the other was shot four times in the leg. Both women are expected to survive.

The identity of the victims has not yet been released.

Right now, police are investigating a motive and are actively searching for two suspects. Police do not have descriptions available for the suspects, but say they were both wearing masks.
