National Weather Service confirms one tornado in Grant Co.

GRANT CO. -- The National Weather Service has confirmed at least one tornado touched down in Grant County in southwest Wisconsin Tuesday night, September 4th.

According to the NWS website, at least one tornado formed in northwest Grant County, Wisconsin.  Damage was in the Bagley, Bloomington, Patch Grove area and mainly to trees. 

Further damage assessments are being conducted. A preliminary rating on the short-lived tornado is EF0 -- which is the weakest tornado designation.

Rainfall amounts in Grant County ranged from only an inch in some areas to as much as 3-4 inches over parts of northeast Iowa into far southwest Wisconsin.
