Two suspects arrested in Racine bank robbery

RACINE -- Police arrested two people suspected of robbing a BMO Harris Bank branch on Durand Ave. in Racine Friday morning, September 7th. They are 21-year-old Demarcus Moore of Racine and 23-year-old Perione Robbins of Racine.

Investigators say just after 9 a.m. Friday one of the suspects entered the bank, approached a teller, stated he was robbing the bank and demanded money.

The teller provided an undetermined amount of money to the suspect and the suspect left the bank. Witnesses told police the suspect drove a dark blue sport utility vehicle.

Minutes after the robbery, officers located a vehicle matching the description on Lathrop Ave. Officers followed the vehicle to West Lawn Ave. The vehicle then parked and several people got out of the SUV. They entered a home in that same block. Officers quickly established a perimeter around the home and several adult males were placed in custody.

No injuries have been reported from this incident.
