Highway 41 rollover crash near Slinger claims second life

WASHINGTON CO. — A second person has died from injuries sustained in a rollover crash on Highway 41 in Slinger on August 21st.

38-year-old Helen Wozniak of Fond du Lac died Saturday, September 8th.

39-year-old Timothy Jerdee of Fond du Lac died from injuries in the crash. Woznick survived the wreck and was hospitalized until her death.

The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21st.

The preliminary investigation suggests the crashed vehicle had been southbound on Highway 41 (in the left lane), when for an unknown reason(s), the vehicle left the roadway, entered the grassy median, rolled over and came to rest in the left lane of Highway 41 northbound.

Both northbound and southbound Highway 41 were closed and/or restricted for approximately 2.5 hours to facilitate rescue, investigative and clean-up operations.

Both victims were thrown from the vehicle — so it’s not clear to investigators which was driving the vehicle.
