Increased security Friday at Greendale H.S. following threat

GREENDALE -- Greendale High School's superintendent says a message was discovered Thursday afternoon, September 20th in a boy's bathroom -- indicating a possible threat to the school.

The message was discovered just after 2:00 p.m. Thursday, and Greendale police were immediately contacted. Officials say an investigation is underway.

School will be open Friday and classes will be conducted as usual, according to a statement released by Greendale's superintendent. The school will have increased security on hand Friday.

Friday and Saturday, homecoming events are planned at Greendale High School, and those events are expected to proceed as planned.

The latest threat comes after three Greendale High School girls were accused of making a bomb threat at the school back in March. The girls told investigators they did it to get out of school and enjoy the nice weather.

Two of the girls were reportedly charged with conspiracy to make a bomb threat, and the other was charged with making a bomb threat.

Anyone with information into this threat is asked to contact Greendale High School Principal Steve Lodes at (414) 423-0110, ext. 4302.
