Police investigate double shooting near 27th & Hopkins

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a double-shooting that occurred early Thursday morning, September 20th near 27th and Hopkins on the city’s north side.

Police say a 43-year-old man was shot at several times shortly after midnight. Officials say some of the shots fired struck a County Transit bus, injuring one of the passengers.

Police say following the shooting, a suspect fled the scene in a black SUV.

Authorities say the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the heel and the bus passenger suffered a graze wound to the left hand.

Milwaukee police say their investigation and search for a suspect is ongoing.
