Kenosha escapee nabbed in North Fond du Lac

NORTH FOND DU LAC — A 39-year-old escapee from Kenosha Correctional Institution was taken into custody in North Fond du Lac on Sunday, September 23rd.

Chad Davis is suspected in a home invasion/burglary that took place in Oshkosh just before 10 a.m. on Sunday. 

Within minutes, there were reports of a van matching the description of Davis’ vehicle driving recklessly and passing cars in a dangerous manner on Highway 41.

Davis allegedly left the freeway and ended up in a driveway on Saratoga Ave. in North Fond du Lac. He jumped out of his van and ran into a wooded area. Moments later, a couple of officers had Davis in custody. Inside the van was a television matching the description of the one stolen in Oshkosh.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted in this incident.
