Motorcyclist dies after being struck by SUV in Grafton

GRAFTON -- A motorcyclist died from his injuries after being struck by an SUV in the Town of Grafton just before 1 p.m. on Friday, October 5th.

The wreck happened at the intersection of County Highway W and County Highway V.

Officials say an SUV driven by Jeff Pionkoski failed to yield from the stop sign and struck the motorcyclist -- which has headed northbound on County Highway V.

The motorcycle rider was first transported to Aurora Hospital in Grafton, and then by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later. His name is being withheld until family is notified.

Pionkoski was cited for failure to yield resulting in the death of another. He was not hurt.
