Milwaukee woman claims $1 million prize in Powerball

MILWAUKEE -- The woman who bought the $1 million ticket from a liquor store on Milwaukee's south side has claimed her prize.

Susane Garcia's ticket matched all five numbers, but missed the Powerball.

According to a Wisconsin Lottery statement, Garcia claimed the $672,500 lump sum prize. Garcia has yet to talk to the media about her winning numbers and new found wealth.

Oklahoma Liquor, located at 933 W. Oklahoma Ave., was paid a $20,000 commission for selling the winning ticket to Garcia. Vendors who sell tickets get a 2% commission of any winning ticket that pays over $600.

This is the sixth winning Powerball ticket sold in Wisconsin in 2012. The last big tickets were also sold in Milwaukee in May.
