Green Bay Packers defeat Arizona Cardinals 31-17

GREEN BAY -- The Green Bay Packers (6-3) claimed victory against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, November 4th. The Pack beat the Cardinals 31-17 at Lambeau Field.

Now, the Packers head into a bye week, before heading out for a two-game road trip.

Tom Crabtree had a 72-yard touchdown that was Green Bay's longest of the season, Randall Cobb added two scoring catches and handed the Arizona Cardinals their fifth straight loss.

The Packers finished with a season-high 176 yards rushing on 39 carries -- the first time in a month they've cracked the century mark.

James Jones also had a touchdown reception, his career-high eighth of the season, and Green Bay goes into its bye week with a four-game winning streak.

The break comes at a good time for the Packers, who lost Clay Matthews, Jordy Nelson and Bryan Bulaga to injuries.

John Skelton was 23 of 46 for 306 yards, his most passing yardage since last December. But repeated drops by the Cardinals receivers kept Arizona (4-5) from getting anything going consistently.

Last Sunday at Lambeau, the Packers defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 24-15.

This week vs. the Cardinals, the Packers looked to extend their winning streak to four games as they headed into their Week 10 bye. The Packers have won each of the previous six meetings with the Cardinals at Lambeau Field.

The teams last squared off in the 2009 regular season finale, when the Packers topped the Cardinals, 33-7, to set up a matchup between the teams in Arizona the following Sunday in a Wild Card game. Arizona emerged victorious in that playoff game, topping Green Bay in overtime, 51-45, in the highest-scoring postseason game in NFL history.

On the road, the Packers last met the Arizona Cardinals at University of Phoenix Stadium on January 3rd, 2010. Green Bay won the game, 33-7.

In a preview of a playoff meeting a week later, the Packers played their starters longer than the Cardinals did and bolted to a 26-0 halftime lead.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 21 of 26 passes for 235 yards, with one TD pass to tight end Jermichael Finley and one rushing TD.

Charles Woodson had one of three Green Bay interceptions, returning it 45 yards for a TD. The Packers defense also scored via a safety.

Packers wide receiver Donald Driver had six catches for 65 yards, pushing him over 1,000 receiving yards for a sixth straight season and seventh overall, both franchise records.

The Packers come out of their bye with road contests vs. the Detroit Lions and the N.Y. Giants.
